No humor today. Today I rant.
I had lost all hope that I would ever see change in the one party system, we as a people, have voted into office. What a surprise when the Congressional Republicans actually stood-up, and unanimously, voted against the massive liberal feeding frenzy that is the "stimulus" package.
OK, Republican Senators, it's your turn. The vast majority (like 99%) of those who voted for you, are holding their breaths, waiting to see if you have the spines to do what is right, as opposed to what is politically expedient.
Trying to cross the aisle will only be perceived by the left as weakness, and weakness is to be ridiculed and exploited. Cliche as it may seem, it's still always better to be respected than liked. Especially when you want to be liked by people who despise you. Earn the Democrats' respect like a thief respects a home owner with a loaded gun.
Your loyalty should be to the values you told us you had when you ran for office. I could care less if my representatives like me. I want them to respect the promises they made to me.
